There are two methods of downloading. One is to just click on the file and it will try to launch your player after downloading. It may appear as if nothing is happening - Firefox will start and buffer a player, Internet Explorer will take longer. If you have a fast Internet connection, this may work fine. Otherwise, I would recommend downloading the clip or the full version first and then playing it after it downloads. (Not all tunes have clips - I'm doing away with that going forward...)
To play directly, just click on the clip or full link next
to the song title. To fully download first, RIGHT CLICK on the desired clip or
full version, and select “Save Target (or link) As” so that you can save the file to your
desired location on your hard drive. (If
you have a Mac with a one button mouse, press the Control key first and then click.)

Fun clip! Check out bad boys in the restaurant kitchen doin the Greenery Groan
Some recordings have some hiss and background noise. Sorry about that. These were recorded in the early 1980s and we did not have digital equipment, or much more than an 8 track for most of it. Sometimes just a live microphone into a cassette. This is really how the band sounded! Except on a very few tunes, these were mostly live takes and very little overdubbing.
Some tunes are not ready for download yet, so if the link is
not available, then I havent uploaded the file yet. I am trying to remix some
of the old analog tapes, which I dont even have in my possession so that may
take awhile. In the meantime, these will do

Check out the clip on this one its fun!! Rob
worked in a lot of restaurant kitchens. This one was called The Greenery Too,
and there was a raunchy groan that the
kitchen staff would let out when a cute waitress would come through that
became known as the Greenery Groan. The
original groan was coined by Jeff Sidel, but Rob groans on this recording.
Inspiration from Ken Kreider of course! This
tune has a lot of tricky lines in it and we didnt pull them off very well in
this recording. I wish we could re-record this
tune because the potential was nowhere near reached. The last minute is a lot
of fun which is the clip. Rob

Rick
Rossi took a jam that Rob wrote for a CentrePeace reunion of sorts, just a jam
session really. It was Jam #7. So
Rick recorded it in LA and sent it To Rob when his daughter was born. (This
is not that recording.) This
is a different recording by one of Robs fusion bands 1989. Just two mics
into a cassette in a smoky bar in Written
for 5 string bass, so the low bass notes go down to a low C, a major 3rd
below a normal bass. The
melody is sometimes obscured, but its the best recording I have. Rob

Its
all in there! Just a little sneaky thing that I hammered out on the low end
of the keyboard. We ended up recording two guitar
solos by Nick and couldnt figure out which one to use, so we mixed them
together. Nick did NOT hear the other solo
track when he was recording the other solo, but they are eerily together in
places then it gets crazy for a moment. This
still has a lot of my Chick Corea compositional line style. Rob

Early stuff! |
|
One
of our earliest recordings we did ourselves with an old 8 track machine late
one night in a music store. This tune was A
showcase of three instruments getting the melody and passing it off in three
styles, then the solos are based on those styles
and pass to each other again. The title bears some explanation: We had gone
through several drummers and thought we had finally
found the solid team, hence CentrePeace at last, but the drummer we had at
this time turned out to be a whacko, Throwing
sticks and being violent during a gig when we had reporters there to see us. Rob
